It first aired in 2008 and this January it’s getting its’ own movie, so why not look back at the other two seasons and two separate arcs together. I’ll be doing 4 different articles, 2 for the seasons, and 2 for the separate arc episodes. So hope you will enjoy this review and lets dig in this wonderful anime! Season 1 is, in my opinion, a better one than season 2, but i’ll you guys decide in the end.
This is the story about Ciel Phantomhive, a 13 year old english boy, whose parents die in a fire, and he is captured afterwards and tried to be sacrificed by cult members. Desperate for help, he sells his soul to a demon named Sebastian Michaelis, and tells him to become his butler and help him have his revemge, so he will get the little boy’s soul in the end.
Sebastian Michaelis: Ciel’s demon-butler, whose impresive and unalienable skills seem to be out of this world, because he thinks he must be a perfect butler, and he constantly helps the young Phantomhive on his cases, as well Ciel’s attitude in general, as he is very childish sometimes and spoiled.This season brought us a glimpse of not only a perfectly Victorian England life, but also the torments of Ciel, trying his best to become an adult.Īlso, the main characters, as well as a ruthless villain are introduced, so lets take a look at their complex profile: Ciel, much like his father, becomes The Queen’s Watchdog, and secretly solve murder cases in London whenever the queen tells him to do.
